Dawne began 'hitting things' (other than her brother!) at the age of eleven and hasn't stopped since. Having studied for a BA in Performing Arts at Middlesex University, she then went onto the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and spent a year on the Postgraduate Jazz & Studio Course. From this point on her drumming & percussion career developed into playing & touring with some wonderful artists such as Lionel Richie & the Pet Shop Boys, taking in three world tours and playing at Live 8 in Moscow's Red Square in 2005.

Other artists that she has also played and recorded with have included: Shapeshifters, Shaun Escoffrey, FROU FROU, Jody Whatley, Dodou Cissoko, Lewis Taylor, Carleen Anderson, Roland Gift, Pauline Taylor, Tanita Tikaram & appearing in the extended cast of STOMP at the Royal Festival Hall & at the Acropolis in Athens in 1995.

As well as being a performer, Dawne is regularly involved in educational workshops for both adults and children. She has given master classes for PEARL DRUMS with whom she is fully endorsed and is involved with teaching on a regular basis. She is also endorsed by the Zildjian Cymbal company.

Dawne is also a gifted songwriter and has released her own vocal album “ASSUME NOTHING” on itunes and CD Baby in 2004. She enjoys writing & producing her own material and is also involved in writing soundtracks for other projects.
