Percussity education programs deliver a distinctive and comprehensive curriculum. We offer a visiting service and will gladly travel anywhere. Our tutors enable students to develop individual musicianship in a professional environment that is open to all abilities.

Available workshops

  • Drum Circles

  • Percussity drum circles offer a supportive, inclusive and creative learning platform for mixed level groups. There is no audience in this type of set-up. Each individual gets an opportunity to make in-the-moment music and explore rhythms from around the world within a group environment.

  • Afro Cuban Workshop

  • This Percussity course offers the perfect opportunity to learn popular and traditional Afro Cuban rhythms like Son, Bolero, Danzón as well as Rumba Guaguancó and Batá patterns. Furthermore, participants explore many phrasing and soloing ideas in an accessible, inclusive and creative learning environment. We also demonstrate how various instruments are applied in native and contemporary styles while addressing correct hand technique in order to develop good general musicianship.

  • Brazilian Workshop

  • This exciting and dynamic workshop provides a good insight into traditional and popular Brazilian styles such as Samba Batucada, Samba de Roda, Maracatú and Samba Reggae amongst others. Participants explore the colourful sounds of Brazilian percussion in a traditional way and proceed to learn their application in contemporary music. This workshop provides an accessible and creative learning platform for everyone involved .

  • Flamenco Workshop

  • This workshop offers an introspection into the fascinating world of Flamenco. We demonstrate popular styles like Rumba, Tangos, Bulerías and Soleás amongst others while talking about their historic and cultural background.
